My mother had double knee replacement surgery on 4/1 and has had 6 weeks of physical therapy here in NJ. She will be moving to NH for the summer on 5/27 and needs to find a place to continue therapy for the month of June. She lives in Alton Bay, but could travel to Laconia or Gilford for the twice a week sessions. Does anyone have any info on local clinics? Thanks.

Perhaps you could try contacting OPA (Orthopaedic Professional Association) in Gilford, or the LRGHealthcare network? I imagine a referral from her primary physician will be necessary ( and helpful). Good luck in your search, and I hope your Mother is doing well! :)

Check out Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. I had knee replacement and did my therapy there. They are professional.

I needed a physical therapist to finish my therapy when we arrived for the summer season last year. I went to Laconia Physical Therapy, 745 N. Main Street, Laconia. 603-527-2781. Ask for Gil. He was very professional and got me back in shape from a severly broken arm. Good luck!

Thanks to all who responded. I visited the new Huggins outpatient facility on Wed. and have enrolled my mother for a month of therapy in June. The new building (including an indoor pool) is located on Mill St. across from Bread & Roses. The team there couldn't have been nicer!

The pool therapy works well for knees. Good luck. :)

So glad you were able to locate something so convenient for your mother! Also seems you found something state-of-the-art! Good for you!
